Patience is one of those character attributes that everyone needs, but few of us have.  Without God's help, we're tapping our toes, checking our watches, and getting frustrated by the minute.  We need to ask God to infuse our personality with patience when we need it, and then give the glory to Him.

I have really been having to deal with patience and waiting to see God move in areas for my son, Alan and for myself.   These last few weeks have been really tough.  It has been hard to continue to walk by faith and know that God Is In Control!!    I have had to encourage my son as well.  I think in doing so, I have been filled again myself. 

I want to say I am sorry for such a long time in not changing the weekly devotional.  I have allowed "things" of life to weigh me down some.   I thank all of you who have continued to review the site.   I want to leave you with a hymn of rest this week:

Father, lead me, day by day, Teach me to be pure and true; Show me what I ought to do.

When in danger, make me brave; Make me know that Thou canst save;  Keep me safe by Thy mighty hand. 

When my heart is full of glee, Help me to remember Thee,  Happy most of all to know

That my Father loves me so.

When we slip away to a quiet place--a time with our Father God--we're reminded of His love, His grace, His mercy.  We lean our head against His chest and call out to Him then listen as He whispers His Words of love to our souls.  Where would we be without this special time with our heavenly Father? 

Jeremiah 29:13 NIV     You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
